Simply an Amazing Show!
During the weekend, I STRONGLY recommend getting to the fair VERY early to get good parking. Luckily, we went to the evening show after being at the fair most of the day. As I was exchanging tickets so that all of us could sit together, other people came in 30-45 minutes after the matinee started frustrated due to traffic and parking issues. I thought to myself, I'm so glad I came 7 hours early!
At any rate, the show was FANTASTIC! Everyone in our group and in our nearby seats had so many favorite moments, like when the Fionas were counting on the day they'd be rescued, Lord Farquaad and his hilarity, Shrek's and Donkey's banter, the tap dancing rats, the 3 blind mice, the 3 "little" pigs, and so much more. Surprisingly, such a small cast can deliver such robust, power, and richness to the musical experience! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the show, with chuckles and periods of amazement throughout.
I took my family to see Nataly Aukar for my son's 21st birthday at the fair - there were 7 of us in our group! This show has become one of my top favorites, if not the favorite, for my family! I was wondering why they did cut out the Magic Mirror scene? Not sure. But it did not take away from the show!
